The best jobs often are not posted anywhere. Look around and offer to help.
Think seasonally
Before a freeze, who needs porch plants brought in? When leaves drop or snow is forecast, who has a long driveway or a steep walk?Notice everyday needs
Carrying groceries, moving patio furniture in or out for the season, washing cars, or setting up tables and chairs for a backyard party.Check in with families you know
A quick note to 2 or 3 trusted families - "I'm taking on pet sitting and lawn care this season, here's my card" - is how most first bookings happen.Watch the Open requests board
Neighbors post one-off jobs when they need help that week. Offer on the ones that fit your schedule and skills.

Parent involvement that fits your age
Families choose how hands-on parents are. Here is how it usually looks.
Younger helpers (about 10 to 14)
A parent or guardian usually manages the card. Parents approve any offer on an open request before the neighbor ever sees it, review every booking, and handle communication.Older teens (about 15 to 17)
Teens can run their own card and schedule. Parents stay linked to see bookings, help with scheduling, and help vet open requests from people the family has not met yet. Families choose whether a parent approves offers or just gets notified.Young adults (18 and up)
Fully self-managed, with the option to join the public helper directory so new neighbors can find you, and to hide yourself any time.Nothing auto-confirms
At every age, a booking only happens when the helper or family confirms it. You can also suggest a different time or rate instead of saying no.
Easy and safe
- Your phone number, email, and exact address are never shown on your card.
- You pick the days and hours you are free, so school, sports, and clubs come first.
- Agree on the rate before the job starts, and report any concern or payment problem.
- Share one link by text with family friends, team parents, or trusted neighbors.
